There are numerous scholarly works about the development of an individual. They agree on the fact that man can reach the top of his physical and intellectual abilities between the age of forty and sixty. At that time men are fathers whose children are adults, they have already gained working experience and experience in life. Women are mothers who don't have only necessity to take care of their household, their potential is not less than the potential of their husbands.

We could say that one period of the life is over. What is going on after that period ?In old age a feeling of sadness comes over a man, he is tormented by dangerous, almost hertical thoughts, like it was in tumultous times , in his youth. He thinks about life in different way, asking himself how long he will live, how much time is left.

A man starts to feel that he is abandoned, useless , he is on uncertain ground and very often persons who cannot bear new life challenges become discouraged and they become mentally affected.

Growing old , like any other natural metamorphosis, can affect, one way or or other, sensitive mental structure. On the other hand, under such circumstances even persons who are stable sometimes become discouraged, not to mention old people who are helpless, or those who are frightened of this age.
