studies mental patients, cause of mental illness and
how it can be treated.

Mental patient differs from other
persons, he has features which makes him digerent from
other patients. Other people very often abandon, isolate
mental patients and people are often afraid of them.
The reason is the fact that mentally disturbed person
arouses special feelings in other person. Presence of
mentally disturbed person reminds other people of possibility
to lose their mind.
In some epochs attitude to mentally disturbed persons
dependeded more on spirit of the times, members of society
and their view of world than on expert analysis about
the source and nature of mental breakdown. Historical
development of comprehensibility of mental illness first
of all takes along spirit of time when some psychiatric
theory and practice were born.
